American Traditions

Everyone loves a parade except for my husband. So on the fourth of July, I usually go with my brother and his family to the Provo Freedom Festival Parade and that's what I did again this year. We start by getting breakfast at Gandolfos and then trek it over to watch the parade. This year was fabulous because even though it was suppose to be 101 degrees, the sky was overcast during the parade. It was perfect. After the parade we went to Heather's parent's house for a BBQ--they are my adopted parents, Brad and I always eat at their house for Sunday dinners. So after eating the traditional burgers and hot dogs, I went back and relaxed at my house for a few hours and then went back up to Provo to watch the fireworks from the the Stadium of Fire. I love fireworks. I love this holiday. And I love this country. It's the best!! Enjoy the pictures! (P.S. Sorry this post is so delayed)

Hey stranger! It's so funny because Josh will NOT go to parades with me either - he hates them!! Hope you guys are doing well and having a great summer!

Well at least you had fun, even if Brad didn't want to join in on it! I missed the parade this year :( But with 2 more years at least in Provo, I'm thinking we'll make it to one sometime! Glad you had a fun 4th!

I heart the 4th of July, except this year Warren and I chose to be social recluses and stayed inside as we watched the fireworks out our window hoping to see one of our drunk neighbors blow his fingers off.

Chris feels the same way about parades! I like to go, so if you ever need a parade buddy- Call me! I have always thought it was so funny all the different things we celebrate here, but I love it there is always so much to do and always a reason to go play and have fun! Cute 4th of July pics!

Not Kim, but I'm responding for her. Her blog is non-exhistant anymore. Boo. I keep telling her to create a new one- maybe you can talk her into it.

Brad probably hates parades for the same reason the rest of us do. We went to EVERY parade EVERY year for so long it really isn't all that exciting anymore. Can't blame him. :) But fun that you have others to go with! Thanks for the pics! Ryan and Heather's kids are getting so big!

Hey Kim! No, tropical storm Fay never hit us. We're all pretty peeved about it because we were totally ready to loot.

Hey kim, I have this really funny thing to tell you.... The other day I took Caselyn to the Dentist and had to bribe her to be good and told her I would buy her a barbie if she let them clean her teeth. She agreed to be good and was(sort of) So I took her to walmart and she got this Cinderella doll that like changes color in the water and stuff any way, we get home and I get the doll out of the box and was helping her dress it then I noticed there was something really familiar about her face, so I studdied it very intently and guess what.... It looks just like you! I kid you not somehow the makers of this doll got a picture of you and totally used it!! So I just thought you would like to know that your face is on Cinderella dolls all over the nation now.... I bet you could get some money out of this!! I'll have to take a picture of it or something and show cause seriousl, it blows my mind!!
